How did the Tasting Room come about ?
As a hotelier we hosted a lot of American groups. I organized regional wine tastings of Sancerre, Chablis, Irancy and Coulanges La Vineuse.
These wine tastings inspired me to learn more about Burgundy wine in general and the 6 wine growing regions from Chablis, and l’Auxerrois in the north to the Mâconnais in the south. The wealth of heritage associated with this remarkable terroir inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a 'cultural landscape' since 4th July 2015 encouraged me to take my knowledge of wine to another level*
The renovation project of the house alongside a project of promoting small independent wine makers from the greater Burgundy wine region became intertwined.
